: You might have trouble. Actually there are only 25 "levels" per se, the other 10 in your count being reprises of earlier levels. (At least, counting from the PiD page). But that's still more than I remembered. Even if you did only have 18 levels (the most that would fit, vertically, in a Marathon map), you'd still be limited to 50ish polys per level. Perhaps, breaking slightly from PiD's actual flow between levels (but some things, like talking to the dead are gonna break anyway), put the upper levels in one map, have the transporter to the lower levels not activate until you reach Ascention, then you can go down, into another map that models the lower levels and doesn't let you back up to Ground Floor until you've set the nuke timer and killed the demon. That'll give you room for about 85 polys per map, and seeing how PiD maps are all just rectangular hallways, I think it might be doable. I'm not gonna do it, though. |
