![]() | In Response To: Re: Aleph One and landscape textures (Smeeisqualityfoo) Alrighty! Here's what I found out:
I deleted my prefs on the off chance that it was causing my trouble - and the texture pack landscape showed up (very cool, btw). Horray! I set my config how I like it (keys, screen res etc), and tried another game. The error was back! It turns out that if I use 640*480 then it's fine, but the moment I go above that I get errors in the landscape textures. at 1024*768, the landscape texture becomes the hud, with motion sensor and everything!! The fact that I am using a rage 128 with 8 MB of ram might be an indicator as to why it didn't work at high res :)
Anyway, thanks for the help. A new question: I now have quite a number of mml scripts in my "Scripts" folder, but they don't all work at the same time. I tried renaming them, and noticed that it seemed to make a difference. Is there a specific order that mml files are processed? Can files overide each other? Should I try to consoladate all my mml into one file? Is the mml in the Aleph One resource file even used? thanks |
