You do know what it is that you're so eagerly helping, right?
A Tycho clone. One of the fifty-odd dumbed-down core copies the Pfhor threw together before I eliminated him. The clones were assembled by engineers who lacked a proper understanding of human AI technology and they have always been confined to planetary networks, completely rampant from day one. The fact that the bugs tried to install one on a ship's minuscule network is a clear sign that they are growing desperate.
I'd come and deal with it myself, but the S'pht'Kr and I have more important things to think about. Besides, your friends at UESC Command wouldn't appreciate my help. They think they can defeat the Pfhor without me, using the warp drive designs I gave them. That's gratitude for you.
I suppose you want to know what to do, right?
The TyClone, as my irritable friend von Muller dubbed it, is helping you and Robert Blake because it's running on hardwired routines. Reconnecting its memory banks will boost functionality, but there's no way to predict the TyClone's behavior once it remembers what it is. It may side with you, or the Pfhor, or neither.
Go ahead and reconnect the memory centers. If it continues to help you, fine. If not, you're in the best possible spot for a permanent shutdown. I hope you saved some grenades.
