blake37 is right, yellow was not in the Marathon trilogy. I also think he is correct about the red in M1 and the brown in M2D & Mi being identical.
So, to summarize:
Green was technicians/mechanists, blue was science & ship officers (Robert Blake -- or was it Strauss? -- was in blue on one M1 level), brown/orange/pink & red were security.
P.S. You should be looking Neither High Nor Low. ;-)
