I think we also should have information on the community itself. I've been thinking (albeit rather amusedly) about writing a sort of history of mapmaking. I'm sure all the mapmakers here on this forum, and maybe some who aren't mapmakers, understand that mapmaking isn't just...uh...making maps (....which it is). It's an art, although it's an art that few can appreciate. And, there's a rather interesting history of it. Does this seem like an acceptable thing to have in the encyclopedia?

(I advocate Wikipedia, by the way).
