: I may be wrong, but doesn't the Marathon Story page itself kinda serve the
: purpose of this proposed project? I think it sounds like an excellent
: idea, but how would it be different from the already fantastic online
: resource that the story page already is? Some specifics should be
: considered.... Just tossing that out there.

Well, the plan was that it would be more dictionary-like. The Story Page is indeed a fine resource for all Marathon information, but it sometimes has other things under the main topics and is not the easiest thing to read (no offense, Hamish =P). I was thinking of something like this for each entry:
Player - (Topic)
also: You, Security Officer, Marine - (Subheading, small details)
-Picture, if applicable-
Known:
The player is in charge of security aboard the UESC Marathon. He did some other stuff. - (Known information: stuff that is explicitly stated and there is no guesswork)
Suggested:
The Player is widely assumed to be 10th Mjolnir Mark IV Cyborg that was aboard the UESC Marathon when it was launched. - (Suggested: Possible other things that have been discussed within the community.

That's a fairly bare-bones example for something as broad as the topic of the Player. I guess the entire thing would be a more easily-digested resource than the Story Page, though I admit that most if not all of the research for the creation of each entry will be done there.
