Well, they could be a cyborg. maybe they are more of mechanical than organism. that could explain that the pfhor can shut them down when needed. The explosions could be of the missile ammo stored in them exploding or the fuel or whatever drives the thrusters. So my guess is that they are mix of a machine and pfhor. But more of a machine thou. 70% machine, 30% pfhor mb?
