In Response To: A quote on continuity (Ernie)

: On a side note: Does anyone know what to do when any version of Forge on my
: Macintosh under OS 9.1 starts randomly making map lines flagged solid,
: sometimes without showing it flagged as such?
: That, and odd occurances around doors. Many crashes. Enough bad things to
: make me scared for my Nebulon level.
Sounds like map corruption... not good. At all. What to do?
1) Nuke + Pave
2) Try setting the lines to be empty manually
3) Remember to sacrifice to the Polygon Gods, or in this case the Line Gods
4) Try deleting areas systematically (On a copy, of course!!!) and watch when it goes away... return to the real map and delete the last area you removed from the copy
5) Try deleting Forge

: Has this occured with anyone else recently? Funny scaling with textures
: (similar to that Chisel plugin, but occuring after a hard Forge crash
: once...) also pop up everywhere. Rebuilding these areas seems to spring up
: issues in others. I think someone up above hates me.
Uh oh, it sounds like there's a rogue link somewhere there, which isn't easy to fix... if you follow the above instructions, you might catch out the link's source (which is probably in a totally different area) and make the problem suddenly disappear.
