: Matt,
: When you do get a chance, take a look at Canyon. I played it again last night
: on my wife's 1.25 GHz iMac and even on the faster machine, performance in
: the Classic Environment of OS X was very poor - just barely playable. And
: the troopers are once again frozen, unkillable and they bleed red. And I
: noticed that I never took damage, even when I know I was hit. Something's
: screwy with this level. But I guess I'm getting ahead of myself. I'll make
: the first post in the series tomorrow.
PF for me suffers from the same bug Marathon 1 did: Something about the monster AI utterly kills performance in Classic, to the point where some areas are absolutely unplayable. Aside from that, very nice work- the weapons are original, and the plot seems to be going interesting places (I think I'm on level 5 or 6 right now, "Pay Your Utility Bills!" or similar).
Matt, Andrew- If I may ask, and sorry if you answered this earlier and I missed it, why did you choose the Marathon 1 engine over the Infinity engine?
