: PF for me suffers from the same bug Marathon 1 did: Something about the
: monster AI utterly kills performance in Classic, to the point where some
: areas are absolutely unplayable. Aside from that, very nice work- the
: weapons are original, and the plot seems to be going interesting places (I
: think I'm on level 5 or 6 right now, "Pay Your Utility Bills!"
: or similar).

Canyon is level 8, I think. If you're very patient, you can play it in Classic, since you won't take damage, but it can take hours at sub-second frame rates. There are some levels for which you absolutely have to boot up in OS 9 - not an option on my wife's iMac. It's for that reason that I want to see all the great M1 scenarios ported to AO, including Trojan, in spite of the authors' threats of bodily harm to those that try. I would hate to see these scenarios die with the last of the computers that can play them. Perhaps we should start a new thread for this one, but do scenario authors have the right to prevent other mapmakers from making mods based on their scenarios once they have released them to the public domain? I certainly believe in honoring the original authors' wishes, but not when that means allowing the scenario to die, as is the case with Trojan.
