I don't want to bring this thread to philosophical brinksmanship, but if time travel were possible, I do not see how this would be a problem. Assuming that you could not time travel past the time of your death suggests you'd be aging rapidly as you travel forward in time. As I understand it, relativity would not allow this to happen: in the time machine time would seem normal while looking out would show the world as going by quite fast, if, indeed, the world would be visibile from such an invention.
Of course, time travel may be as simple as walking through a portal a la Stargate, perhaps not exactly so, but similar to where the journey itself lasts seconds or fractions of a second. As long as the pressure and air are OK at the final destination, whether you already exist there or don't is of no consequence.
I hope its nothing I ever have to worry about.
