Which brings me right to my next theory...

Teleportation has been deemed impossible, but Marathon has teleporters and uses them constantly. Therefore, the player is imagining Marathon!

Does it also seem strange that in Marathon Infinity, the player travels through time and space, which isn't possible?

Look guys, the gig is up. Marathon actually sucks because of incredible discrepencies between the real world and the world of Marathon. Me, I'm going home. I suggest the same for the rest of you.

But yeah, I totally agree. It only has twelve years between the sending of the message by Leela and the redieving of the message by Earth. That's... that's just not right.
