At the risk of stirring up a hornet's nest here...
I disagree with that statement totally. In fact I'd be willing to wager that I could put a polymer product with bronze metallic additives next to a cast bronze statue & you wouldn't be able to tell the difference without picking the items up to judge the weight differences. I'm not saying this because I happen to work with the stuff, or because I'm trying to make a sale to Ernie, but the fact is that polyurethanes are one of the most versatile materials in the known world.
