In theory, the MI demo might has sprites/enemies not found in the M2 demo, such as Hunters, Troopers and F'lickta. It's been a while since I used it, so I don't know.
Last time I checked, Tempus Irae could be used in place of the base Infinity files, because it implements all the original Marathon monsters. Just the F'lickta sounds are replaced.
