The "Marathon" symbol pops up a lot in Halo... it's on the Pillar of Autumn and Capt. Keyes' uniform (and pipe) for example. It seems Bungie might have recycled it as the UNSC logo.
What was *not* in Halo are complete Marathon-look terminals like these...
So is this some kind of 'thon/Halo mashup fanfic? Prelude to a Halo mod with Marathon overtones? A new scenario about to be announced (the real conspiracy theorist will be salivating over the significance of a planet named Frigid)?
I think it's significant that the only place it's been a subject of regular "News" postings is at HBO.
If it's a fanfic it's gonna take about two years to play out at one terminal a day.
