: you guys think. I believe that you are somehow related to the Master Cheif
: in Halo. In fact, i think that you may in fact BE the master cheif from
: Halo. Marathon does take place after halo if you look at the dates. Many
: references refer to you as being not human, while others seem to say that
: you are. The Spartans were not human, according to many high ranking
: military officials (if you do not know what i am talking about, read the
: books). Also, the manual to Marathon states that you killing aliens in the
: far reaches of space is somewhat familiar to you, almost like a memory
: that pops into your head. When you beat the vid master challenge in
: Infinity, you are rewarded by a screen that says you are a long dead
: military hero reanimated by machines. Could this hero be in fact the
: master cheif? Only Bungie knows for sure.
I'm no expert, and I'm not going to get in a big debate, but it has already been proved that Marathon does not take place after Halo, and that they are indeed in different unvierses. In addition, the Master Chief actually talks and has a personality, however flat, and yet the player in Marathon doesn't talk, and is, therefore, a much more symbolic character, the symbolic warrior, so to speak. The killer, kind of like the Leveller in Myth, if you get what I mean. The connection of Halo to Marathon tat we see
