As far a I now they were created by Yrro their god(maybe Yrro are really the Jjaro). I'm not sure myself because I don't fully understand the Marathon's story.

Other point I'm not sure... In "Charon doesn't make change" there is a terminal with some S'pht being captured by the Pfhor and in "Hard Stuff Rules" too
