I'm not going to say they were sci-fi classics or : pieces of garbage, and definitely not, as the long gone originiator of : this thread thought, like, a ripoff. : If you think about it, having to write an entire novel and make it fit into a : fictional universe someone else created probably isn't the easiest thing : to do for some authors, especially when you know your work is going to be : considered "background" to a far more popular video game. Still, : I think the books are a good medium to bring the Haloverse to others who : otherwise wouldn't play the game... I agree with battle cat
