: The one real challenge is in shutting down the juggernaut production line. A
: switch must be activated to expose a destructible switch that will shut
: down production, all while you are under attack by several juggernauts.
: You may need to make two passes at this, unless you choose to take out all
: the juggers. There is no need to take them out, but it can be a lot of fun
: if you want to try and are willing to use up a fair bit of ammo that might
: be better saved for later. You can also easily get stuck having to take
: them out if you happen to make a run for the pattern buffer and shield
: recharger that are visible in this area. Once there, it's hard to get out
: without taking the juggers on. One very effective technique if you're
: brave is to get the juggers to take each other out. To do this you need to
: place yourself in the line of fire of one juggernaut with a second one
: directly behind that one. If you hang close to the first one, you can
: avoid taking much of the damage while that jugger takes a pummeling from
: the one behind it. The trick is to get out in time!
Here's another way to handle these Juggs. Off to one side of this large room (but outside the room) is a narrow hallway that overlooks the room. It's fairly easy to situate yourself in this hallway and snipe at the Juggs with the Pfhor Staff through the window. It can take awhile to bring one down, but you are fairly safe within the hallway. Also notice the low-lying wall hanging down from the ceiling. Often the Juggs will get behind that wall and fire their missiles at you. Instead the missiles hit the wall, causing damage to the Juggs. Eventually they will suicide. This affords a nice way to take them out without wasting any ammo on them.
Ok, ever since I played Evil, I have been waiting for the opportunity for some of you skilled mapmakers out there to explain something to me. In this large room with the Juggs, stand facing the Pattern Buffer and the 1x recharger. Off to the left is a large rectangular structure with the distinctive red-white and black-gold striping. This is supposed to be a platform that descends when you stand on the ledge in front of the PB/Recharger. There is a "platform on trigger" poly up there that is supposed to activate that platform. If you stand on that poly in Forge, the platform comes down. However, I have never been able to get that platform to activate during gameplay. Why does that platform not descend?? According to Forge, there is a Juggernaut situated atop that platform. Plus there is a nice ammo stash on there as well. Any ideas as to why that platform will not activate? Could the Jugg somehow keep the platform from descending?
