In Response To: Re: Evil Volunteers - All dressed up, no place to (Mark Levin) I just wanted to add two things about this level. First from Steve: ***Falling into the canyon is not an option. If only the two devlins that live down in the canyon could roam freely, you might have a chance of fisting them (yes, it can be done as we'll discuss soon).*** Steve, you can defeat these with Fists. I encourage everyone to try this. As you noted, they cannot come outside the cave entrance. Use this to your advantage. First make sure they are both active. Lure one of them back toward the main cave entrance. While you stand outside the entrance, just as it reaches the opening, punch it as you run by. It takes some practice, but you can do it without taking any damage. After numerous good punches, one of the Devlins will berserk and take out the other....that leaves you to take out the other with a few more punches. Even if you wait till the end of the level to do this, it's a nice way to take them out without wasting alot of ammo. The second thing from Mark: : There are two other things to note about the ammunition on this level. First,
There is one other minor ammo "bug" on this level. It's not really a bug, but that's the best description I can think of. At the location where you insert the first chip, there is a circular staircase that rises out of the lava. Next to this stairway is a small patio area. You trigger a nice ammo cache by standing on that patio. Be sure and trigger that ammo BEFORE inserting the chip. The reason I discovered is that there is a small amount of ammo that teleports onto the first stair in the stairway UNDER the lava. If you wait and trigger the ammo after inserting the chip (that's what most players will do since a Trooper is guarding it), that ammo is not available since the stairs have already risen.
