: Alright, we've heard enough about everyone's least favorite monster. What is
: everyone's favorite monster? By that I mean which monster do you enjoy
: fighting the most? For me, I'd say Juggernauts. If placed correctly, they
: can be really fun (and sometimes challenging) to kill. They can just get
: annoying when you don't have the weapons necessary to combat them and are
: forced to simply run past them, often preforming tasks in one area while
: taking cover from the Juggernaut. Heh....I remember when I was 4 or 5
: years old, and my brother and I watched my dad play M1...we didn't know
: the official name for Juggernauts, so we named them "Clouds". It
: wasn't until we got Infinity and looked in Forge that we discovered that
: they were Juggernauts. We also called Cyborgs "Tanks", and I
: STILL call them that in my mind, and during casual conversation (it's
: suprising how often casual conversations in my house end up discussing
: Marathon).
I don't have a single favorite monster like I had a single hated monster. I like the monsters that die a hard death. Mostly because if you do it right you can take out their comrades when they detonate but also because "me like make go boom". I like nudging a Staff Fighters nose around to the other side of it's head. I like the Troopers because they inspired such dread in me in M1, I just respect them, look forward to combat with them. I feel a little guilty killing the Yeti even though they hate me. They are just dumb beasts, like American Idols. I'd like to replace my cats with a Grendel Beast and a Potatoanus. Their personalities would make a good straight across trade. The Cyborgs are tough and absorb a lot of ammo but their grenades are fun to dodge. I like to kill a guided munition Cyborg after it's lobbed one at me and then maneuver to make the grenade orbit me. Same with the cool eerie floating S'pht. I REALLY love the ammo dropping BOB's, sometimes I coax them along. But admittedly I only love them for their ammo. The fusion BOB's are actually quite helpful but when I don't need them anymore I like to hard death them, me like make go boom. In general, I try to protect any BOB that is shooting at the enemy finding my self shooting at what is shooting at them but once the action is over I mug them for their ammo. So you can say I am THEIR least favorite monster. Although there have been many times when I did everything I could to save the BOBs from all harm. I have a psychotic split personality about that it seems.
