	I was reading the The Pfhor section, and I think I have an explanation for the differences between Marathon 1 and 2. The Pfhor encountered in Marathon 1 were the crew of a small scoutship, apparently quite far from the main Pfhor empire (the fact that no reinforcements ever show up hints that Leela was wrong about other Pfhor being nearby). The crew of the ship would be Pfhor trained and equipped for exploration and enslavement. In Marathon 2 we are deep inside the Pfhor empire, and fighting troops intended to guard a planet, indeed a planet that is regarded as a dead-end job in the Pfhor ranks. The two different theaters of combat might call for Pfhor of different body types. For example, the Pfhor scoutship has lighter gravity than the Marathon, but Lh'owon appears to have gravity just as heavy as the Marathon (ignoring for the moment the fact that both are much lower than Earth). So we might be seeing two races of Pfhor, one adapted to a Pfhor spaceship and space combat, one for a S'pht/Human planet and ground-based combat.
