: I was reading the The Pfhor section, and I think I have an explanation for
: the differences between Marathon 1 and 2. The Pfhor encountered in
: Marathon 1 were the crew of a small scoutship, apparently quite far from
: the main Pfhor empire (the fact that no reinforcements ever show up hints
: that Leela was wrong about other Pfhor being nearby). The crew of the ship
: would be Pfhor trained and equipped for exploration and enslavement. In
: Marathon 2 we are deep inside the Pfhor empire, and fighting troops
: intended to guard a planet, indeed a planet that is regarded as a dead-end
: job in the Pfhor ranks. The two different theaters of combat might call
: for Pfhor of different body types. For example, the Pfhor scoutship has
: lighter gravity than the Marathon, but Lh'owon appears to have gravity
: just as heavy as the Marathon (ignoring for the moment the fact that both
: are much lower than Earth). So we might be seeing two races of Pfhor, one
: adapted to a Pfhor spaceship and space combat, one for a S'pht/Human
: planet and ground-based combat.
Enough to make their eyes turn 180 degress?!!! Mmmm...
Better to leave this one to artistic licence. No?
