Yet Pedro is lying in a pool of blood:
This seemingly contradicts the fact that he had died of suffocation. However, I don't think it does. I think Pedro was wounded outside of the room, and his wound was still bleeding when he suffocated. Now, obviously it must've been a pretty bad wound to have been bleeding for 2 hours.
This might explain why Pedro says 'It was very painful'. What if the lack of oxygen caused his wounds to hurt a lot more? Just a thought.
