In Response To: Pedro, Suffocation, and the 'Alternatives' (PerseusSpartacus)

: On I'd Rather Be Surfing , we meet Pedro, the first in a long line of
: Cubans. As everyone knows, he claims to have suffocated: I know what's
: going to happen now: you're
: going to suffocate here, just like me. The
: doors won't open for hours.

: and...

: I was trapped here like you, and suffocated.
: It was very painful. You should consider ...
: the alternatives.

: Yet Pedro is lying in a pool of blood:

: This seemingly contradicts the fact that he had died of suffocation. However,
: I don't think it does. I think Pedro was wounded outside of the room,
: and his wound was still bleeding when he suffocated. Now, obviously it
: must've been a pretty bad wound to have been bleeding for 2 hours.

: This might explain why Pedro says 'It was very painful'. What if the lack of
: oxygen caused his wounds to hurt a lot more? Just a thought.

: Cheers,
: PerseusSpartacus

After he felt the pain from the lack of oxygen, I assumed the alternative solution was that he shot himself to death.
