Interesting, I guess this is why Bungie didn't rum with them in M2 and opted for graphic images instead. I really did like how they were implemented in M1, particularly the ability to switch off the display of certain areas of a map using specifically placed platforms. Habe Quiddam being a good example of this.

Thanks for the correction regarding map annotations in M2. Since I wasn't aware of any in the solo levels I automatically assumed they weren't supported. Having 16 annotations, Flight of the Toolator sort of makes up for their absence elsewhere.
