Doesn't look familiar to me.

: I was doodling today on some paper, some various logos I thought were nifty,
: and I drew this one. Liking it, I didn't know if its been used or is a
: symbol to something in mythology I don't know about. I feel I've seen it
: before, but I'm not certain. I quickly drew it in Photoshop using my
: trusty Wacom tablet, and I was hoping you guys might know what it was.

I have not seen something that looks exactly like that before. The little lightning bolts have been used for hundreds of thousands of logos and signs. My guess at what you are remembering would be a waning sign for something that is charged with electricity.

: Just so you know what it is: Its an anvil with three lightning bolts above
: it. A reference to power, maybe? Lightning striking the Iron? I don't
: know.

My mythology is rusty, but I believe that lightning bolts are generally associated with Thor, the Norse god of thunder, or Zeus, the Greek god of sky and thunder.

Thor uses a war hammer named Mjölnir. Zeus used lightning bolts created by one of the other Greek gods. I cannot remember which... I think the Cyclops had something to do with it.

In any case, the little box in your drawing is not the traditional shape of an anvil. Anvils can be shaped like that, and I think it is cool to have a non-traditional shape for it. It makes people think about what it is.

Here is a site for more information on anvil shapes.

As for lightning that strikes an anvil, I do not know of any stories or myths where this occurs but I am very rusty on my mythology. If I had to guess at what it may mean, I would say that lightning striking an anvil would be a sign from the gods that the anvil is either blessed or cursed.

I can imagine a story where a smithy is finishing a sword or shield and a god strikes the anvil with lightning just as it is completed, imbuing it with special powers. If the smithy survives, the strike would have been a complete blessing, but if the smithy dies the strike would contain a ominous warning to whoever chooses to use the sword.

But that is just from the top of my head. I did a little checking on Wikipedia, but their mythology articles are somewhat unorganized.
