Organized my eye! LOL...If I didn't sketch something out, I'd have a hard time adding in small details and replicating the weapons. But yeah, I find sketching out my models first helps.

I think the first one looks closer to the than mine will when it's finished. It depends on what you're trying to go for. I'm trying to remodel the guns with all the things that Bungie didn't add (like shell ejection ports, hammers and bolt mechanisms, etc...), maybe things I'd like to think they didn't have time to add or didn't have enough high-quality images that they could actually use at the time to warrant adding some of these things.

If you take a look at my SMG sketch, it's obviously wrong in some places (the SMG is square and is built like a mix of an Uzi and an MP5...), but if possible I'd like to be able to incorporate some of the extra little details that weren't there originally.
