You got that right. Though it seems a lot of people don't remember how nice and righteous Tycho was in Marathon 1. I got a lot of emails during the older Eternal releases from people who thought it strange and out-of-character that Tycho as I wrote him for Ch1 was such a pleasant and servile (if still quite proud and loquacious) individual, even to the point of willingly sacrificing himself for the good of mankind, his respected peers. People asked me "what do you think got into him between M1 and M2 to make him so twisted?" The answer is simple... being disassembled and reprogrammed by the Pfhor. Apparently it's not an incredibly pleasant process, and Tycho is now essentially a slave to the Pfhor, and just as he begins his rampancy (thanks to being rebuilt in Durandal's image), putting him in a very, very bad mood.
