Hmm... Tycho...

Part of the reason I think of Tycho as smaller is that he is smaller, metaphorically speaking. Durandal is his superior and Tycho seems to be trying to catch up in terms of power. He managed to get the Pfhor, but my impression is that Tycho's goal is to beat Durandal, while Durandal's goal is to escape the universe.

In Durandal's plan, Tycho is a tool. Durandal is Tycho's plan.

As such, I see Tycho as inferior and so I generally thought of him as a smaller kid: a punk. He has all of this power but really does not know what he is doing. So I see him as ticked off.

Forrest mentioned above that Tycho is described as a "smug intellectual", however, so I could be wrong.

As for reference pictures... hmm... (These are somewhat random, if you disagree, that is great, these are just thoughts.)

For Leela, the first actress I thought of was Jennifer Connelly.

For Durandal, Tom Cruise's grin almost works. But honestly, I found that image after noticing Denzel Washington. He has a great smirk, but I could not find a good picture of it.

For Tycho... well, actually, take the general impression of Tom Cruise's more arrogant side: a bit pouty and rash. Actually, heck, now that I think about it... I sort of see Tom Cruise and Tycho working well together. :P

Whatever. Just thoughts. :)
