The one that sticks with me is 'the primary function of intelligence is the subordination of our instinctive desires,' a lesson yet to be learned (practiced), but stated nicely by Tfear in one thousand thousand slimy things.

also, Escape will make me God, which is burned across my imagination; it's the most memorable/powerful sentence I've read in a game, I think. ya get chills!
