In Response To: Re: Thoth and the Yi Jing (Mr. Bill) : A rather unfair analysis of the Pfhor me thinks- we know, after all, that
: I think the point with Thoth was more that the Pfhor just didn't care about
It is also mentioned somewhere that the Pfhor did not understand much of the Jjaro technology they came across and simply destroyed what they could not figure out. As we see with the Drinnol Rebellion they did not understand (or were just careless) what Jjaro technology could do. When they found Thoth they might very well have not understood him or what was. However, this experience would possibly begin their interest in AIs and when they come across less complex and more understandable AIs on the Marathon they are far more keen to investigate. I think the Pfhor also probably used a kind of Human wave tactic. Sending in tons of troops to supress an enemy. And if they gain dominace of the space around the S'pht homeworld they could easily besiege the planet and conquer it. (Correct me if I'm wrong about anything)
