I have been using Wail for all of my editing needs for EMR, and there's a ton! We added several slots, and converted everything to 16-bit. It works great, has needed features that Sound Editor doesn't have, and mixes just fine with Anvil and Aleph One.

If you add sound classes, you have to be sure to edit Anvil's resource fork to support the new sounds.
