Eternal Volunteers - Once More Unto Breach...

OK, so it's back to the Pfhor ship we're going to clear out for the Drinnol. One thing I didn't realize the first few times I played this level is that the player can arrive in multiple different spots on the ship, some of which will be familiar, and some of which will not. This creates a random advantage or disadvantage depending on where you arrive. There is a 25% chance you will arrive in an alcove with a 3X shield recharger, pattern buffer and terminal with instructions. Otherwise you'll have to do some hunting and will likely have a tougher time of it.

The objective once again is to clear the ship of Pfhor so the Drinnol can use it to spread their rebellion. Many of the ship's areas are identical to those we saw in Bug-Eyed in Space and can be handled similarly. Fortunately, the entry area from that level, including the long hall of juggers and other monsters, is inaccessible to us this time around. There are other challenging areas to explore and clear out, however, including a rather cool looking circular room with hunters below and fighters above. One of the fighters, BTW, is transparent from the waste down - weird. Off of the upper ring is the aforementioned alcove. Another new oval area has a similar alcove behind a door. Also in this room are a couple of elevators needed to reach the upper levels. Unfortunately in at least one case there will be a hulk blocking the way - you'll have no choice but to kill it. After everything's been wasted, it's off to clear out the command deck.
