In Response To: Re: Opening .bin files? (Andrew Nagy)

: If it's in .bin format, it's a Mac version, and will probably need some
: modification to run correctly.

: IIRC 2000, Pfh'J is only available in the form of an installer program; you
: can't get at the data files directly without installing it on a real or
: emulated Mac.

: Someone made a complete Rubicon package that runs on Windows; you can just
: get that once Fileball is back up.

I'm willing to make full packages of some scenarios available (the mac files, in .sit format) - mostly because I feel guilty that they're now locked away behind an installer that only runs on macs. :(

I just created a full install of Pfh'Joueur, and stuffed it; it weighs in at about 35 mb. I can do this with other packages, if the need is there. (Folks need to tell me if the need is there.)

NOTE: I do NOT have the ability - or time to learn the ability - to make Windows SDL-compatible installs. Others need to do this. These will be Mac-only, but fully installed; if you have a mac, you can download and play. If you have a PC, someone ELSE needs to make the files functional for you - but the hard part (getting them out of a mac-only installer) is already done.

Does this make sense?

(I know I just said a day ago that all of this was on hold - but it's really unfair that folks can't touch stuff because of installers *I MADE*.
