Wow. Sounds like one of the Marathon-themed ramblings I'd post to my LiveJournal when I was depressed. :)

Nevertheless, it's quite interesting, something which I think really fits in well with the tone of MI and Rubicon.

But what really struck out at me was the mention of the Flood, which means that the author must have written this after the release of Halo. This immediately reminded me of Forrest's earlier Eternal-related musings on the link between the Halo and Marathon universes which generated a lot of discussion here before. I remember Forrest actually said once that he was interested in using Ian's Organic sprites from RED as a representation of the Halo's Flood in Eternal, but it seems that he dropped it.

My guess is that it's Eternal-related. Maybe it's something someone wrote for a terminal or chapter screen to be used in Eternal, but was promptly forgotten.
