: This is the failure end-of-timeline level, and this time we appear to be

: The first time I read it, I thought it was Hathor, but now I think it is
: a W'rk that has been released from its FiReY tOmB But who are the stp[id
: beasts in question? Humans, the Pfhor? Or some others?

If you think back to Marathon RED, you'll recognize this writing style as Michael's. The most imporant aspect of this dream sequence is that by calling the S'pht'Kr back to Lh'owon to fight the original Pfhor invasion, we left the Pfhor no choice but to use the trih xeem on Lh'owon's sun a thousand years before we forced them to do the same. But there was no Infinityeqsue way to fix the timeline here - choosing between Tycho and Durandal was not an option. Neither had been created yet and there was not way to create a Durandal/Thoth entiity to help us get an ancient Jjaro space station on line. The result was the release of the W'rk from Lh'owon's sun at a time when humans were still sailing in ships to cross the ocean. The universe was destroyed and all that is left is Michael, or one of his cousins, or perhaps several of his kind.

Fortunately, we have a much simpler option to deal with the W'rk this time - we can go back to Lh'owon and not interfere with history this time, seeing to it that the S'pht lose their battle to the Pfhor and pospoining the final battle at Lh'owon for a thousand years.
