Exactly. Vengeance for killing Halo, and the ridiculous reasons for which the mac port was discontinued. It's basically just because Sierra didn't think they would be able to port Team Fortress Classic to the mac version in time, and they didn't know if they would be able to get the multiplayer to work with macs vs PCs (though Quake 1, the game Half-Life's engine is based on, and the other games based on it don't seem to have any problems with Mac/PC multiplay... I'm pretty sure they could get it working, were it not for their cold, mac hating hearts) Gabe Nevel, the head of Valve explained in a letter: "The Mac version of Half-Life would never be as good a product as the PC version and Mac users would never be happy with it." Stupid bastards. Who the hell plays TFC anyway? And why would it matter if Mac users could play against PC users? If they don't port Half-Life 2 (for some stupid reason like "Mac users haven't played the prequel, they won't be able to enjoy our fantastic (and cliché-ish) story"), I'll go to Washington, buy a rifle and some ammunition. | |
