the halo book is the prequel to the game basically the game doesnt have any information about the past about how he got so strong or about any of the other spartans but halo 2 will have the other spartans in it there is a 3rd halo:first strike if you remember in the book the first 1 they were training new spartans they are introduced in the book linda comes into it as well and most of the others halo 2 tells you how the convenat came to have the flood and and there back ground and stuff the convenat didnt create them they were trying to kill the flood thats why they amde halo to destroy evrything so the flood dont have anything to feed on hope this helps you guys and halo 2 and gonna be the best game ever and to vid boi of course its a rip off but its the best fucking rip off ive ever seen
