In Response To: SoNK Volunteers - Central Command Sector (Steve Levinson)

I remember playing somewhat through this scenario w-a-a-y back. I currently don't have it installed, but your notes remind me of it very effectively. I think SoNK had some really interesting architecture and ideas (such as the force field), that really seemed to work well in the scenario. SoNK struck me as being as sort of "on-rails" experience, though--I don't recall the player being given a lot of room for different paths to complete the levels. That said, I think it's ideas were quite original at the time, and the later level with the multiple Juggernauts was a blast to play (in particular).

I do recall Double Aught using the force field idea in one of the Infinity levels, though. I know it's in there. Sorry I can't cite the level name right now, because where I live it's late and I need to turn in. Seemingly, Bungie beat SoNK to it.

Or was SoNK released before the force field idea was ever implemented?
