In the meantime I've been doing some thinking about it, checking out some stuff on full text indexing and inverted indexes and the like. I'm toying with the idea of doing my own MySQL-based forum system that can import WebBBS archives and would give similar viewing options as WebBBS. It might be template based and also use CSS. Kinda like taking the best bits of WebBBS and using MySQL as the back end. The first step though will probably be doing a MySQL back-end for the archive searches here.
