In Response To: Flood = cure for Forerunner cancer? (Mooreberg) Very interesting. But perhaps the spores themselves don't chew away at the cancer, rather it is something in them. Just the way we scour the rainforest looking for different molecules to help us, the forerunner were harvesting some sort of protein from the flood spores. They knew that the flood were very dangerous, and thus kept them on the halo, but the protein was valuable enough to warrant keeping the flood alive. |
