The prototype AAARD Mk 6 R/G Glass Drone:

The Glasser was an evolutionary step in UNSC recon drone design. Using a completely never-before-thought-of-before propulsion system it could be launched planetside and achieve faster-than-light travel. Accompnaied by a creative and adaptive AI with active accoustic subroutines, this prototype unfortunately lost contact with UNSC High Command when it inadvertently overcalculated it's launching charge by 7.7e 77777 grenades while trying to download some theme music from iTunes v255.1. After overshooting the Covenant homeworld by several million light years, the project was officially scrapped so that remaining funds could replenish frag grenades throughout UNSC's Armories.

The prototype AAARD Mk 7 Frogblaster Drone:

The Mk 7 Frogblaster combined Halo-physics bending hardware with an AI developed on quantam-persistance theory. Early testing revealed that the Mk 7 would discover everything there is to know. The UNSC ethics commitee deemed it an WRM (Weapon of Mass Revelation), and it was outlawed when the lead techinician won the Lunar Lottery four times in a row.
