Halo Wins 5 OXM "Xbox: Year One" Awards
Posted By: NickDate: 10/4/02 1:10 a.m.

Just got my OXM November issue today. There is a short 2 page article on Halo 2 in there but thats already been posted bout so I'll move onto the awards.

Halo won 6 of the 22 first place awards. Out of those 5, 2 of them were "Best" awards and the other 4 were "Other" awards. The basic layout of the winners was 10 main "Best" catagories where there was a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and then there was the "Other" catagories which only had 1 winner each.

Halo won 1st Place in the following "Best" catagories:

"Best Action Game" - for being better than all the rest, also called "Best Game Ever" by them in the caption for this award.
"Best Multiplayer Game" - for being balanced, adictive, and replay value

Halo won in the following "Other" catagories:

"Best Game Story" - shared with Silent Hill
"Best Use of Hard Drive" - for loading times
"Most Adictive Multiplayer" - for being balanced and fun
"Most Shocking Moment" - for the Flood

Anyway, go buy the magazine, it has some good stuff in there. Halo is also in the Top 10 on the Demo Disk. And as I stated has an article on Halo 2, which has a quick interview but nothing truely new.
