I think your right , this also hapened to me a couple of days ago.
I ran realy fast , and I dident got the pistol , nor there were any grunts at the entrence of the hall.
I never got back there so I never knew about the 3 weapon thing.

By the way , how do you change weapons?

Gonna play me some combat evolved ,and check this trick out.
