Invulnerable Elites don't score

In Response To: Re: Two Reach Firefight bugs? (JDQuackers)

On that scoring bug, it looks like I've figured out what's going on. If you've made covies invulnerable, as I've been doing in Knock-off, you don't score points for killing Elites (by knocking them off cliffs or whatever). All this time, I never noticed the lack of Elite scoring until yesterday! Other types of covie score fine.

I'm wondering now whether invulnerability is also a factor in the more serious wave strength trouble I've been getting with my latest Knock-off game types. It's serious because if the wave strengths aren't reliable, comparing speed play times becomes less meaningful. I'm investigating.

: I've absolutely seen a lot of variance in wave numbers; however it's never
: been something that I thought too much about. I know there have been a few
: examples of videos posted where a dropship will somehow kill the
: inhabitants (like dropping them from too high, or off the map). I wonder
: if this helps to explain the missing combatants.

It certainly wasn't to do with covies getting dropped off too high or off the map; they simply weren't there. You mentioned seeing variance, but are you talking about variance within a given wave type?
