In : the books the spartans always felt like she was their mother, since she : was there from the beginning for pretty much the entire program. Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but I am fairly certain it was the opposite of this. Certainly the Spartan II's had a great deal of respect for the good doctor, but never did they feel she was a mother figure. Now Cathrine had moments, especially later in the canon, where she felt motherly tendencies towards "her" Spartans. Going so far as to kidnap Kelly and outright lie to them at times with the intent to "save" them from their (I would say inevitable) fates. That being the case it would have made more sense for Dr. H to have called George "Son".
