Excellent point. I feel the same way. The majesty and awe I felt when first entering a forerunner structure was from the sheer fact that it seems to be one giant and nearly seamless structure. To see more "pieces parts" so-to-speak makes it less glorious, IMO. But I do think it looks really nice to I won't nitpick, really.
