Cruisers would likely have the complement of modern : supercarriers with 70-100 aircraft, with carriers of different classes : having hundreds of aircraft. : As there's multiple carrier battlegroups within each fleet, multiple fleets : within a system-based fleet (Home Fleet, Epsilon Eridani Fleet, Bliss : Fleet, etc.), your looking at tens of thousands of aircraft per large : fleet and potentially hundreds of thousands, if not millions, across Fleet : Command. Except Longswords are the size of jumbo jets. We already know a Frigate is technically too small to fit a number of Pelicans in, let along a Squadron (at least 12) Longswords. If you were going to fit anything like 70 of them on a single ship (consider means of launching and recovering them, weapons and fuel storage, maintenance areas) you'd probably be looking at something the size of a Covenant Assault Carrier. So in all likely hood UNSC fleets should have considerably smaller air wings than what we see today. Unless we cheat a lot.
