No, they likely can't go back and : rectify everything but if the plan is for Halo to continue another 5-7 : years at least, there's a better opportunity to keep things more : consistent. Theoretically I suppose that's true; I just have my doubts that continuity is really that serious a problem for the franchise, or that ameliorating it will, or ever could, compensate for the fact that going forward none of the material will be coming from Bungie. I'd like to see something that is convincing to me-- at least on an emotional level, if not an intellectual one-- that what they do with it will feel like Halo, not based on Halo, inspired by Halo, or worse.
